Introduction

Unique Auto Inc., a premier auto detailing service in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), sought a complete website redesign to align with their brand refresh and deliver a more engaging, user-friendly experience. The previous site, with outdated design, slow load times, and poor mobile compatibility, led to missed growth opportunities and lower client engagement.

Process

Research & Analysis:

Analyzing the previous website's performance involved collecting data on user behavior,mobile usage, and bounce rates. Additionally, a competitive analysis was conducted to understand what similar businesses were offering on their sites.

Industry Benchmark: Automotive Retailers and Their Online Presence

Defining User Needs:

User feedback and interviews with UAI's clients helped identify key areas for improvement. To align the redesign with client expectations, detailed user personas and journey maps were created.



Wireframing & Prototyping:

The design process began with wireframes and prototypes to establish the site’s visual and functional structure. With these foundational elements refined, the project advanced to the final design stage, unifying everything into a polished, cohesive, and user-friendly experience that met client and user expectations.



Development & Testing:

After the designs were approved, I collaborated closely with the developer to ensure accurate implementation and responsiveness. We then gathered user feedback on the initial build and made targeted adjustments to optimize usability and align with user needs.

Color Scheme:

Using black and yellow in UAI's branding creates high contrast for standout information, conveys safety and sophistication, and enhances brand recognition in the competitive auto service market.

AUI’s bold, strong, and sans-serif fonts convey reliability and strength while ensuring readability; their clean, geometric shapes add a modern, precise, and technical look, reflecting UAI's up-to-date and efficient approach.

Using Porsche as inspiration elevates UAI’s brand, associating it with luxury, reliability, and cutting-edge automotive excellence, signaling high-quality, top-tier service to customers.

Outlined Porsche illustrations in black and yellow provide a modern, minimalist look that highlights UAI's services. The yellow accents draw attention to key areas, enhancing customer understanding of vehicle parts and services while differentiating UAI from competitors using traditional methods.
